Transfer Credit & Articulation
The Office of Transfer Credit & Articulation collaborates with University of Arizona departments, in state community colleges and universities, as well as community stakeholders to facilitate a successful transfer experience for students coming to the UA.
We interact with the statewide academic articulation community, serve as liaisons to faculty between academic institutions, support interaction between the advising personnel at the universities and community colleges, and provide programs and services to incoming transfer students. Our staff members participate on numerous committees on campus, at the state level, nationally, and internationally.
Our office supports the Arizona Transfer Articulation Support System (ATASS) within the framework of the University of Arizona. The ATASS system was established by the State of Arizona to provide resources to improve the student transfer experience. These resources include providing institutions the technology they need to support faculty-lead efforts to ensure curricular coordination among the various higher education institutions, creating Pathway agreements for students entering the UA from in state community colleges, and developing programs with UA departments to enhance the student transfer experience and help students reach their academic goals.
To be recognized and sought as the go-to leaders and consultants who support and serve students, faculty, advisors and community college partners toward shared goals of improving transfer processes and transfer student enrollment and graduation rates.
To serve, educate, and support students and stakeholders* toward improving the transfer student experience via clear pathways, course applicability, and faculty and advisor engagement in both the community college and university settings. Stakeholders include University of Arizona and Arizona community college faculty, administrators, academic advisors, recruiters, and admissions personnel.
