Bianca Miguel de Souza Chaves

Dr. Chaves is a Research Scientist in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona’s Water and Energy Sustainable Technology (WEST) Center. She received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Before the U of A, she was a postdoc at Harvard University and the University of Coimbra (Portugal) working on different water and wastewater treatment projects. Her expertise includes advanced technologies and materials for wastewater reclamation and water reuse. Dr. Chaves is excited to learn about evidence-based teaching strategies and the practical co-teaching experience.
