My research focuses on fluxes of greenhouse gases in drylands (mostly CO2 and water vapor) and I am particularly interested in how plants, biocrusts and mineral reactions affect those fluxes. My main motivation for doing this research is to find nature-based solutions to mitigate climate change.
By joining the CIRTL Postdoc Pathways Program, I hope to acquire teaching skills and experience to inspire students to pursue a career in academia and transfer efficiently knowledge that will be useful for them to develop the climate change mitigation strategies of tomorrow.
