Welcome to CIRTL

We have successfully brought the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) to campus and, despite the difficulties of COVID-19, recruited our first cohort and laid the foundation for the CIRTL@UArizona.

Considering the Whole Self in Teaching and Learning: Mental and Physical Wellbeing in the Classroom

Becoming an Anti-Racist Educator

Discuss and crowd-source possible solutions to the challenges of bringing anti-racist teaching into a STEM community and classroom in this three-session workshop. Cap: 20. At capacity as of January 8.

Writing an Effective Teaching Philosophy Statement

Mondays, February 8 & 22, 2021, 9-10:30 AM (two sessions)

Draft a peer-reviewed teaching philosophy statement that reflects your teaching beliefs and experiences in this interactive two-part workshop. Cap: 40. At capacity as of January 8.

Advancing Learning through Evidence-Based STEM Teaching (8 weeks; self-paced)

Mondays, January 25 - March 21, 2021 (weekly asynchronous modules)

Learn about developing effective, evidence-based STEM teaching practices at your own pace through online video modules and discussion boards in this 8-week MOOC developed by CIRTL Network faculty. Your instructors estimate participants will need to spend 4-5 hours per week on coursework.
