Andrea D'Ambrosio
I am currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Space Systems Engineering Laboratory at the University of Arizona, where I focus on applying machine learning techniques to astrodynamics, optimal guidance, and control. Additionally, I contribute to the practical and research endeavors of the Space4 Center in the area of Space Situational Awareness, specifically in orbit determination and light curve analysis of artificial objects. Being a senior Postdoc, I am going to apply soon for a faculty position, since my goal is to become a professor, a role that would allow me to integrate my passions for both research and teaching.
I believe that the CIRTL program will equip me with the skills necessary to design effective university courses, aiming not only to impart knowledge but also to ignite curiosity in the subjects I teach. Furthermore, I am eager to learn how to adapt my teaching philosophy to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students, which I consider essential for achieving impactful and meaningful educational outcomes.
