Yu (Karen) Du

Dr. Du is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Psychology. She earned her PhD from University of Alberta and BSc from Beijing Normal University. Her research focuses on human memory and spatial navigation abilities. She uses a combination of virtual reality, computational models, behavioral tasks, and neurophysiological methods to examine how humans learn and memorize environments. In the Postdoc Pathway Program, Dr. Du aims to expand her teaching experience and portfolio. She is interested in learning and developing her approach to evidence-based active learning and online learning and using it in her future academic career. She is excited to co-teaching under the guidance of a faculty member in Spring 2023.
