Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy
I am an environmental sociologist and qualitative researcher. My work has focused primarily on the social impacts of wildfire, as well as different workers’ perspectives on forest management. I am particularly interested in the ways in which environmental knowledge and decision-making intersect with identity. Currently my work addresses community engagement in environmental policy. I enjoyed working with undergraduates as a teaching assistant throughout graduate school, but I have not yet taught my own class. Through CIRTL, I hope to learn methods and improve skills in instruction and facilitation that will be transferable to future academic or non-academic positions.
