My research focuses on understanding the transport and fate of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in soils and the influence of soil microbes on the uptake of both biogenic and anthropogenic atmospheric sources of VOCs. I have mentored undergraduates, masters students and PhD students on research projects in the past. I am looking forward to the CIRTL program to learn more about how teaching courses are designed and delivered to enable effective knowledge transfer from teacher to student and how student feedback also shapes aspects of formal taught courses.
